About Dr. Rue
Dr. Rumbidzai Mudzonga (“Dr. Rue”) is a Naturopathic Physician who blends cutting-edge science with deep compassion, walking beside patients through some of the hardest chapters of their lives—and helping them write new ones.
Her journey into medicine began from a place of personal loss. As a child, she watched her father endure chemotherapy and fade into someone she barely recognized. He passed too soon, and the pain of that loss never left her. Though her grandmother passed before she was born, her untimely death at 34 shaped her entire family—leaving behind eight children and a legacy of grief. Dr. Rue also grew up watching her mother battle life-threatening illnesses and surgeries, always bracing for the next emergency.
“I know what it’s like to live with fear in your chest—afraid to answer the phone, afraid of what’s next. I grew up in the shadow of chronic illness, thinking that was normal. But it’s not. And it doesn’t have to be.”
That fire—that knowing—drives her to dig deeper, ask better questions, and never settle for symptom management. She believes in root-cause medicine, in giving the body what it truly needs to heal, and in preserving the dignity, energy, and joy of every patient along the way.
Dr. Rue holds a BSc in Biochemistry with advanced training in molecular biology and proteomics. She specializes in integrative oncology, chronic illness, detoxification, hormone and immune dysfunction, mold toxicity (CIRS), and Lyme disease.
